Product Overview
The NX-CV500 pneumatic globe control valve delivers precise throttling for critical process control loops. Paired with a diaphragm or piston actuator and an intelligent HART digital positioner, it responds accurately to the smallest setpoint changes while offering advanced diagnostics — travel deviation, cycle counters, seat leak trends and predictive maintenance alerts.
Working Principle: Compressed instrument air acts on a spring-opposed diaphragm actuator, lifting a plug within the valve body to modulate flow through the seat. A digital positioner receives a 4–20 mA setpoint from the DCS, compares it to the current stem position via a non-contact travel sensor, and modulates a piezoelectric relay to maintain the exact commanded opening.
